Mercury can pass directly between the Earth and the sun in rare transit in November 2019

Get ready for a rare astronomical alignment coming November. 11 as Mercury passes directly between Earth and the sun, an event that is known as a transit. 

In November. 11 Mercury transit will be visible throughout the Americas,

Europe, Africa and western Asia, according to AccuWeather.

You can see transit telescope with an appropriate solar filters,

but be warned that looking at the sun without proper solar filters can cause permanent eye damage. 

The crossing is very rare and occurs about 13 times every century. 

The next Mercury transit will not happen until November. 13, 2032.
